Agency on Aging and Community Services, Inc. is an independent
not-for-profit organization, governed by a volunteer board of directors,
dedicated to meeting the needs of the elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged
members of the communities we serve.

Purposes
|
- To provide programs and services that
benefit, directly or indirectly, disadvantaged, disabled and/or aged
persons
- To pursue programs and assist in maintaining
maximum independence and dignity for older people and low-income
families
- To encourage community awareness of needs
and potentials of families in crisis and in need of assistance
- To provide safe, decent and affordable
housing for low- and moderate-income citizens
- To remove blighted areas of the community
through social service and housing programs
- To rehabilitate and preserve historic
properties
- To exclusively pursue charitable and
educational purposes, which would include the making of distributions to
organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501 C
(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 as revised
- To remove individual and social barriers to
economic and personal independence of all persons
- To pursue programs and assist in maintaining
maximum independence and dignity for older persons and low income
families
- To promote community economic development
through planning, education, and implementation of programs and
projects, including opportunities for low and moderate-income individuals
