Head Start Lead Teacher - Logansport (full time)
37.5 hours per week. Responsible for planning and executing all component services for Head Start children and families according to the National Head Start Performance Standards and the local component plans. Associate Degree required, pay depends on experience and education.
Head Start Teacher Assistant – Logansport (part-time)
25 hours per week. Assists the Teacher/Family Facilitator in planning and executing all component services for Head Start children and families according to the National Head Start Performance Standards and the local component plans. Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) required, Area Five is willing to assist with the cost of obtaining CDA.
Family Support Specialist – Cass/Fulton Counties & Miami/Wabash Counties (full-time)
Healthy Families is a home visitation program in which you will apply working knowledge of parent-child interaction, child development, safety issues, and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect to help enrolled families improve parenting skills and reduce family stress. Must be able to accurately prepare reports, documentation & data entry, communicate effectively, handle crisis situations in a calm manner, type & have computer knowledge, be organized and efficiently manage time. College degree preferred and/or one to three years’ experience or training working with infants and young children and in working with parents. Bilingual ability helpful. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of car insurance.
EAP Client Service Specialist – Logansport, Kokomo & Wabash (Temporary, Part-Time)
No supervisory responsibilities. Bi-lingual applicants are preferred for Cass County positions. Individual is responsible for taking EAP applications, data entry, providing Energy Education and secretarial duties as needed. Work with clients and negotiate with utility vendors. Individual must have interpersonal skills which allow for effective communication with clients and utility vendors, maintain good organizational skills, and are able to calculate income efficiently. Options Counselor – Kokomo (full-time)
Counsels and aids individuals and families requiring information and assistance. Provides direct Options Counseling by assessing and analyzing client requests and/or needs; explores problem resolution alternatives. Completes insurance application assistance and understanding; facilitate referrals to community and agency programs; and intervention as appropriate. Qualifications: A Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional who meets the requirements at 42 CFR 483.430, or; a registered nurse with one year’s experience in human services, or; a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, gerontology, nursing, health and human services, or; a bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of two years of full-time, direct-service experience with the elderly or disabled (this experience includes assessment, care plan development, and monitoring), or; a master’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
